Software Modeling Collaboration

A major manufacturer of marine engines was experiencing slight crankshaft torsional vibration.  Knowing that Vibratech TVD shares industry common modeling software, they made a request  to evaluate their design.  Vibratech TVD adjusted the modeling to enhance viscous damper properties from our extensive empirical data set.  Simulation  indicated positive results and within a short lead time Vibratech TVD manufactured prototype units.   Testing proved the simulation results and the torsional vibration concern was corrected.  The manufacturer implemented a design change to the production units.
